Ohly has a great opportunity for a Project Engineer to join our team in Boyceville, Wisconsin.
The Project Engineer coordinates and manages capital projects, monitors process operations/controls, and assists with technical issues for the Boyceville facility to support production, maintenance, process improvements, and new process development.
Key
Responsibilities:
Project Engineering Define and manage capital projects as required by Management Team decisions Provide downtime requirements to Production Manager for scheduling Coordinate equipment installations and construction as necessary to ensure minimal disruption of production Complete capital projects and repairs on time and on budget Communication Ensure all departments are generally aware of project work which may be occurring in their areas and maintain formal daily communications with the production manager Maintain a system that facilitates the upward flow of ideas and concerns Actively participate in daily production meetings Process Technology and Development Monitor and provide technical inputs to the extraction, processing, and drying operations Serve as technical liaison between ABFI operating units and outside contractors and consultants Provide technical support to production, maintenance, R&D, and quality control departments Make appropriate provisions in regard to job duties in case of absence Safety Make safety a priority and insist on strict adherence to safety policies/procedures Ensure safety is engineered into project work Ensure safety related work is appropriately prioritized and completed in a timely manner Responsible for ensuring employees comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and the Food Safety Plan Participate in the Ohly Americas safety program including but not limited to attending weekly, monthly and annual safety training Responsible to report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action Budget Reduce costs, spend at or below budgets, and prepare annual budgets for capital projects Identify best value proposal for projects and ensures spend is focused on both long-term goals and short-term budgets Human Resources Assist with employee training when required Uphold Human Resource policies and procedures Comply with applicable employment law Essential Skills & Knowledge Bachelor's degree in chemical, mechanical or process engineering or related area Minimum 3 years engineering experience with project related background Ability to create projects to support improvements in plant operations Strong interpersonal skills Comprehensive oral and written skills Desirable Skills & Knowledge Understanding of GMP's, engineering in food production environments, and 3A standards Familiarity with process controls Ohly operates based on our values of doing the right thing for our people, customers, and planet.
